Short story of the Die Casting Process
In 1938 the company Triulzi of Milan, copying from an old “Polak”, designed and built the first horizontal cold-chamber machine for die casting of aluminium alloys. This technology went beyond the old and only concepts of casting of the time, that were sand casting and shell-mould casting.
The machines were equipped neither with knee toggle system nor with systems with nitrogen cylinders to multiply the force yet, but they were fed with big water cylinders working according the principle of the autoclave.
During the years, a lot of industries have been founded in the area of Brescia that developed in a more effective and competitive way injections systems, which make the province of Brescia unique in this field.
